Because bullying has become such an issue in schools across America, we here at
the Nottingham West and SAU 81 take bullying very seriously. To help combat
bullying and to support a positive school climate, we need to hear from parents
and students about conflicts that come up at school. We have several options are
available to parents and students to communicate about concerns.

Nottingham West has a "Bully Box" at the school, at a location accessible to
all students. Students may leave notes for their Guidance Counselor and School
Resource Officer Stys about their problems. Officer Stys will be the only one
reading the notes and will investigate and resolve issues with the assistance of the
Guidance Counselors

Officer Stys has also set up a Bully Box e-mail address for parents who wish to
report bullying from home. The email is:

Officer Stys is the only person with access to the e-mail account. Every concern
sent to him will be looked into and dealt with accordingly. If you have any
