Bus Dismissal Procedures

Re: TRANSPORTATION AND DISMISSAL
Dear Families,
We met with the Bus Company to review our concerns and to review the rules they would like us to follow.
I want to review a few things regarding the dismissal process, especially those riding a bus.
1. Students are allowed to change a bus, if it is required for daycare purposes only.
(Day passes are not granted for play dates.)
2. Please provide the following information if you require a change due to daycare (a daily bus pass must be made by the office to approve your child’s request):
a. Name and phone number of contact person where your child is going.
b. Address of the stop you need your child to go.
c. What bus do they need to take and what is their regular bus number.
3. Please do not give notes to the bus drivers. The bus drivers cannot approve a bus change; it must be approved by the Principal (for day care purposes only).
4. If you have a permanent change, please contact the office so the appropriate forms can be completed and forwarded to the bus company. Again, include all the information required for a day pass.
5. Contact First Student: 603 883-0251, (they can call the bus driver directly):when
(a.) Your child did not get off the bus; or (b.) Your child was not picked up by the bus
(b.) Contact the school office for all other concerns regarding bus problems (we do not have the capability of contacting the bus driver directly).
Other dismissal concerns:
1 Please send a note if your child’s daily dismissal changes or call before 2:00 p.m.
2 Please try to avoid coming to the school between 2:30 to 3:20 p.m. This is a very busy time for the office and staff to be sure all students have a smooth dismissal.
3 If your child goes to a daycare; such as Adventure Club (here in the building), Beginning Discoveries, Kiddie Konnection, etc., please be sure to contact them as well as the school to advise of your child’s change at the end of the day.
Thank you for assisting us in making your child’s dismissal a trouble-free event at the end of the day.
