Notes from the School Nurse
A reminder to all parents that we prefer children to stay at home when they are sick. We have had several students attending school although they are ill which spreads it to everyone else. Please visit the links below for more detailed information.

Kindergarten and First Grade Registration
In-person registration will be held on the following dates at Nottingham West
Wednesday, February 1st from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.
Wednesday, February 8th from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.
If your child will be five on or before September 30, 2012, it is time to start preparing for their first day of kindergarten! Parents should begin the registration process at home by registering online prior to attending in-person registration.
If you have already opened a "family account" online, you need to "add a child". Your completed paperwork will be waiting for you when you come on February 1st or February 8th. Computers will also be available at in-person registration if that is more convenient for you.
We will also be registering new first graders! For first grade, children must be six years old by September 30, 2012. Students currently enrolled in the Hudson School District kindergarten program do not need to register.
Calling in just got easier!

Introducing our new Absentee Form. Instead of a phone call to school, parents are now able to fill out this form to report their child's absence. An email notification will immediately be received by our office staff and you will also receive an email receipt confirming that your child's absence was reported. It's as simple as that, no more phone calls or notes to worry about.

*Parents who prefer to phone their child in absent instead of using the form may always do so at 603-595-1570

Word of the Month - Tolerance

January is the month of Tolerance. As a nation, we celebrate the contributions of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. As a school, we help students understand the meaning of acceptance and tolerance during No-Name Calling Week. An important part of our mission at Nottingham West is to prepare children to understand the larger world beyond our school walls. Tolerance means that our children work to understand, respect and honor the differences they learn about.
